A spokesman for San Mateo County District Attorney’s office confirmed that a warrant was issued to search Web Site editor Jason Chen’s house. Police searched and seized a cell phone, cameras, computers and other technology related items. Police believe these devices were used to commit a felony.
Last week, Gizmodo posted pictures and information about the next generation iPhone. The phone was found in a Redwood City bar. Gizmodo purchased the phone for $5,000 from an unknown person.
What a freaking joke. A company makes a mistake by letting a stupid employee use the phone, and take it to a bar of all places. Someone found it, sold it to Gizmodo, and he posted some pictures and information about it. So instead of taking the blame and just learning from their mistakes and moving on, they are probably going to press charges against Jason Chen.
